Jen's parents always find the greatest Christmas presents for us. This year they found me an awesome Rigid power drill. Vikings

I love football...and my favorite team is the Vikings. I'm really hoping that the Vikings win today and that the Redskins lose. The reason being is so that the Vikings can possibly get into the playoffs. I like both teams, but the Vikings are my favorite and I'd love to see them in the playoffs and even the Superbowl maybe!! Over the past week that I've had off from work...I've been able to spend lots of time with Jen and kaelyn. One thing that I always enjoy doing when I'm home with them is starting a fire and just relaxing when it's this cold outside. I'm really looking forward to New Years this year because Jen's parents and brother are coming up to spend it with us. Where does the time go?!

I can't get over the fact that tomorrow is already New Years Eve. It's crazy how time has gone by so quickly since Kaelyn was born. Just yesterday it seems that it was still November and we were bringing her home from the hospital. Now we are getting ready to ring in the new year! 2008...can you believe it?!! Where does the time go??

Changing Daily

Our little girl Kaelyn is growing so much. She'll be 8 weeks old this next week, and I can't believe how quickly the past couple of months have gone by already! She is getting so big and changing so much. We were comparing her newborn picture to some of the more recent ones taken and she looks totally different. She's filling out and looking much older. It's fun to watch them change, but it goes by way too quickly!

We'll see...

I keep saying it, but I must get something done today! i have a lot of work ahead of me, and only so much time to do it. It know Jen will get some done while I'm at work, but I like to help as much as possible. She is so busy with Kaelyn much of the time that it's hard to get a lot of the other things done. So, I'm probably going to have to sign off soon and get back on here later tonight. We'll see how the day goes.

Investing

My father in law really enjoys collecting coins and investing. I'm going to have to tell him about the Monex Deposit Company and all they can do for him. Kaleyn

Kaelyn has been such a good girl! She's been sleeping like an angel lately. I think after the holidays are over and we're back into our routine, we'll be putting her in her own crib in her own room. She's been sleeping in a bassinet in our room since she was born...but we'd like to get her moved into her room so that she can start sleeping in there at night. Hopefully the transition goes well.

Nice Time

It was sure nice that Jen's parents could come up to visit yesterday. They just wanted to visit us and see Kaelyn too. We always have a nice time when they come to see us or when we go to see them. They got to spend some time just talking with us and even stayed for supper. Bill and I even went out looking for some vehicles that he might be interested in buying. We didn't really end up finding too much ....but I'm sure the right vehicle will come along.

The Holidays

It's been a really long time since I had a day off just because. I'm really excited because I get the whole week between Christmas and New Years this year!! I knew that I would get some time off, but didn't know I'd get that much time. I'm looking forward to not only getting to spend time with all of my extended family...but also that I get to be home with my wife and baby some too!! It's going to be such a fun holiday season.

Christmas Decorations

My wife and I just love this time of year. We love Christmas and all that it means to us. Jen also really likes decorating this time of year and finally has everything put out. My Wife

My wife is the best. She not only takes care of our daughter every day of the week...but she also takes such good care of our home and does other things as well. Kaelyn

We have lots of things for our daughter to play with and use. She is 6 weeks old, so we have things like a play mat, a swing and a bouncy seat for instance. She likes all of these things, but her favorite is a bouncy seat that we're using of Jen's parents. It not only vibrates, but also plays music and lights up. She just loves it!! Jen said that she uses the seat throughout the day when she can't hold Kaelyn or be with her sometimes. Kaelyn just loves it!!

Plastic on Windows

Jen and I really need to get some plastic put on the windows in our living room and family room. We have some on our bedroom windows...but have found that with this bitter cold...it's necessary to have it on all the windows. When you sit in our living room you just feel the draft from outside coming in. Our windows are older so that is part of the problem. I just don't want the house to be freezing all the time and don't want to lose a lot of heat. Hopefully plastic will help.

Christmas

I really can't believe that Christmas is almost here. Even though our little girl is only 6 weeks old...Jen and I still wanted to buy her a little gift for Christmas. We were out last night shopping for one and it just hit me how soon Christmas will be here. I just love this holiday...not only because I get to see family and friends...but also because we get to celebrate our Savior's birth and the true reason for the season!

Growth Spurt

We have such good baby. From the day we brought her home from the hospital she's been so good!! She's pretty much been sleeping through the night and not very fussy at all from the beginning. Lately though, she seems to be fussing a lot more...especially right around feeding time. She'll act like she wants to eat, but won't. The doctor had told us that she may be going through a growth spurt around this time...so we're thinking that may be part of it. Can't really think of what else it could be.

Back Ache

I was lifting something at work yesterday and seemed to of hurt my back. My wife offered to rub it for me...but it's not a muscle ache, it's more like a pinched nerve or something that is out of alignment. I think I may have to go see a chiropractor if it doesn't get to feeling better soon... as it is really bothering me much of the day and night. Last night I did not sleep well at all and I think it was do to my aching back!

Warmer Temps?!

I sure haven't been liking this cold weather lately! Great Schedule

I've sure enjoyed getting off from work earlier now that the weather is colder and there's snow on the ground. I feel like I have so much more time to spend with my wife and my daughter...which is the most important thing to me. They've enjoyed having me home more as well. So Thrilled!

When Jen had Kaelyn and we found out that we had a girl...we were so thrilled!! We would have been happy with a boy or a girl and would have been thrilled no matter what. Having a daughter is just such a blessing and we love spending time with her!! She's such a little angel!! We love how the clothes in her closet went from greens and yellows to pinks and purples!! It's so much fun having a little girl!! I can't wait to see what it's like to have a son someday too!

Brrr!

I am absolutely freezing tonight!! The only bad thing about this cold weather and working is that I usually end up working outside most of the day. I can't stand being cold...so it really stinks when I am cold most of the day! I come home and all I want to do is take a hot shower and then curl up on the couch with a warm blanket and start a fire. At least my wife keeps our house pretty warm...that helps me warm up some once I'm home. I just wish it would warm up some so I didn't have to be so cold at work.

Great time of year...

I'm liking this weather lately...not so much to drive in as snow is never fun to be out in...but as far as work goes it's great! My wife does such a good job getting things done. She is a stay at home mom so she has the full time job of taking care of our daughter every day. As if that isn't a big enough job in it self...she also gets the bills done, cleans much of the house, and gets other things done online as well. I appreciate her so much and all she does!! Being a stay at home mom is sure a lot of work!!

World Series

I've always told my wife that I think it would be fun to go to a world series game sometime. Baseball isn't my favorite sport...but it is one that I enjoy watching a lot. To go to a world series game would just be wonderful! Don't you think?!? This year the Colorado Rockies and the Boston Red Sox played to see who could take home the World Series title. So Big!!

Jen and I have been told how big our daughter is getting these days. We are with her everyday so we don't see how much she is growing like some of the others who don't get to see her on a daily basis. The Marine

Just over a year ago, Jen and I went with her parents to Myrtle Beach. We had such a nice time there. While we were there we saw a movie...The Marine. We really enjoyed this movie, so Jen's dad got us the movie and brought it to us this past weekend. We still haven't had the chance to watch it, but hopefully some time this week we'll be able to. I haven't seen it since that first time we saw it, so it should be fun to watch it again.

Great Movie

Jen and I had never seen the movie...Pursuit of Happyness until tonight. We finally had a couple of hours together to watch it this evening and I must say it is one of the best movies I've seen in a while!! It really kept our attention and was a movie that both of us would see again. I'm glad that we own it...as I'm sure we will be watching it again soon. Christmas Lists

Last night Jen and I were asked by my step mom to get our Christmas lists to her. Neither one of us really know what we want for Christmas. Today while I was at work, Jen was getting the mail and saw that there was a package on our front steps. It was from her Dad's aunt. It was a gift for Kaelyn which was really special. She had made Kaelyn a really nice blanket that she will be able to use for years and years. What's even neater about this gift is that she said in the card that it was not only from her, but also from Jen's grandma. Jen's grandma has Alzheimer's, but when she was well she used to sew and sew. Esther knew that if Vi was well that she would have made something for Kaelyn, so she put her name on the card as well. I thought that was pretty special and so did Jen.

Family Time

The past couple of days have been so nice for me. When my daughter was born, we right in the middle of our busy season, making it difficult for me to spend much time with her or my wife. Hopefully with winter on the way I am going to get to spend lots more time with my family now!

Dry Skin

This time of year is very cold where I live. One of the things that comes along with this cold weather is dry skin!! I just hate dry skin, because it seems that no matter how much lotion I put on...it's never enough to make the itchy dryness go away. Even our daughter has some dry skin on her face and feet. I feel bad for her, because I'm sure it's itching her as well. Hopefully with time, the dryness will go away...it's not fun!!

The Mist

I've never been a huge fan of scary movies, but Stephen King has made a few that I really enjoyed. Many people know Stephen King as being a genius when it comes to creating scary movies. I think of him as being creative when it comes to his movies, whether they're scary ones or not. Probably my favorite movie by Stephen King would have to be the Shawshank Redemption. This is a movie that my wife and I both really enjoy!! We own it and have watched it many times. I wouldn't go as far to say that this movie is super scary...but it does have a great story line and one that keeps those watching it on the edge of their seat. That's my kind of movie. For those of you who enjoy these types of movies...and don't mind a little scare, you should definitely check out this site describing his newest movie, The Mist. The Mist by Stephen King is supposed to be quite the thriller, and even one that I think looks pretty good. It's going to be coming out on November 21st, so you still have time to make plans to go see it. Try to go with someone who you can hold onto though...as I'm sure it will be quite scary at times!!

Lunch Time

I can't believe it's already noon already! It's that time of day when I really need to start thinking about what i want for lunch!! Will it be egg salad or one of the other leftovers in the fridge?!? Normally we don't have a lot of leftovers, but since Jen's mom was here for a week and cooking yummy meals...we have lots to choose from. I'm thinking the egg salad sounds the best today though.

New Mixer

Most of us grow up having many different recipes that we just love!! Although there are many as a kid that I really enjoyed...I have grown to love different types of food more and more as I've gotten older. One recipe that I really love, that my wife's mom introduced me to is Banana Bread. Now, I know most people have had banana bread before...but until you've had Vicky's banana bread, you haven't truly tasted the best!! This is probably one of my favorite things to eat...I'm pretty sure I could eat a whole loaf if I really wanted to! There's something about it that makes it better and different from the other banana bread that I've had in the past. In case anyone out there wants to try it...the recipe is:
1/2 C Butter
1C Sugar
2 eggs
2C flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 1/4 C mashed bananas
and chocolate chips if you like. Then you just bake it at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes. Trust me, you'll LOVE it!!
The one thing that I don't like about making this recipe though, is our mixer. We have a cheaper mixer that is not very powerful. Before I make banana bread again, I'd like to look into getting a powerful mixer like the Hamilton Beach® Eclectrics® Mixer. Christmas Goodies

Now that we're already half way through November, I can't help but look forward to the holidays ahead. I just love the Christmas season!! I especially look forward to all the goodies that are made each year. My favorite are probably my mother-in-laws sugar cookies...as they just melt in my mouth!! The frosting on them is outstanding as well!! I think my wife said that she was going to try making them this year if she gets the chance. I can't wait!! Yum!

Right now our priority is Kaelyn...but at some point having a television like this would be a dream come true. Helping Out

Even though it's the busy season and I get home late many evenings...I've still been trying my best to help Jen with as much as I can around the house. She does some work online, as well as taking care of Kaelyn and the house during the day. Sometimes it becomes exhausting a little overwhelming for her...so I've been helping out with whatever she needs. We work as a great team which is nice when life is a little hectic like it has been lately. Thankfully though, the busy season will soon come to an end and I will be able to spend some more time at home with my beautiful wife and daughter!

Finally

Well, we received the news today that Jen's brother and his wife finally had their son. They were due the day before us...but unfortunately went over two weeks past due. Thankfully both mom and baby are doing great and are actually headed home today!! We're so happy for them and can't wait to meet our new nephew. It's going to be such a fun time at Christmas this year...with two new babies around. I can't wait.

Jen was pretty excited to get a package in the mail the other day!! She does some blogging for a company called Payu2blog, and they do different promotional things to get the word out about different products. Seeing how Jen is a teacher, and now a new mother...she was thrilled when they were giving people different children's toys to try and review. She got three really neat games and things....stuff that our daughter will be able to use when she's a bit older!!

I've especially enjoyed it now that we have Kaelyn here with us...because I continue to post new pictures each day! Busy, Busy, Busy!

With Kaelyn here I am noticing that we have much more laundry to do. Jen and I usually do laundry once or twice a week...but with all the onesies, socks and clothes that she goes through each day...we're finding that we do laundry almost every day now. I guess that's ok though. We need her to have clean clothes to wear. It sure does keep us busy though.

Thermostat Help

Ever since moving into our new house, Jen and I have been trying to figure out our thermostat. It's one of those newer digital ones and we are just confused as to how it works. It seems that when we set it for a specific degree, it will get way to hot or cold in our house. For instance, if I set it on 70 and look at it a while later...it will still be running but says that it's 73 in the house. I think the degrees are a little off...because 73 makes it too warm in our place!

Wow, the weather lately really has me wishing that I had some time off. If I did, then my father-in-law and I could probably go golfing. Family

Lately, with the baby here now...I haven't had much time to be online and make some money posting. It's not a big deal though...as spending time with her and Jen are my top priorities! I will do my best to keep up with some posting here and there, but life has changed and it's not all about making as much money as I can. Now all I care about it is spending time with my family and not missing a moment!

Family of Three

I still can't believe that I'm finally a Daddy!! The past 10 months went by so quickly...and Kaelyn is finally here with us. It's just such an amazing and surreal experience....I'm loving every minute of it! :) She's so precious and such a wonderful baby!! It's fun to look at her and see the different features that remind Jen and I of ourselves. Each day I look forward to coming home and seeing her and my wonderful wife! We're now a family of three and I am overjoyed!

Zoe

While Jen's parents were here over the past week to help us out with the house and with Kaelyn...they brought their dog Zoe. Zoe is such a sweet dog and so lovable. However...she has NEVER been around a baby before, and she doesn't really know how to act around them. Zoe is used to getting all of our attention because she's so sweet...but now that Kaelyn is here, Zoe was second in line when it came to attention. She was pretty good...but you could tell that she is really nervous around Kaelyn...not knowing exactly what to think of her. We had to keep her away from Kaelyn most of the time...as she just gets too excited around her. We don't want Zoe to accidently hurt Kaelyn by stepping on her or something. Hopefully with time Zoe will become more and more used to Kaelyn and the other grandchildren.

New Nephew

My mother and father-in-law are pretty excited, as they get to head down to Texas in a couple of days. Jen's twin brother and his wife are expecting their first baby and actually went into labor yesterday. Her parents are really anxious to get down there and meet this little guy after he's born!! I don't blame them. How exciting to have two new grandchildren within a two week time period!! I wish that Jen and I were able to go down and meet our new nephew as well...but it's very hard to do much traveling now that Kaelyn is here and so young still. That's ok though, we'll get to meet him over the holidays.

Weather Lately

Although it is a bit chilly outside...it's been much nicer than it was over the past couple of weeks. I'm torn as to whether this is a good thing or a bad thing. The reason being is because, if it continues to stay pretty warm...our busy season will continue. I'd really like for it to be over though, so I can spend some time with my family!! The only downfall to it becoming colder though, is that winter will be here then and then we have to face the bitter cold and snow, which is not fun!!

Wedding

I had a cousin that got married this past weekend!! The wedding was sure nice. Jenna really wanted to go, but with just having Kaelyn a week before that she wasn't quite up to it...and she wasn't really wanting to take her out with all those people quite yet. I'm sure we'll take Kaelyn out soon...but we just want her to build up her immunity a little bit before she's around lots and lots of people who are holding her and stuff. I think this is a good idea. My cousin and family members will get the chance to see them another time.

Wow!

I can't believe our little girl is almost two weeks old already!! The time sure does go by quickly. I mean, everyone told me that the time would go quickly, especially having a little one now...but I never imagined it would go by this fast!! It shows how important it is to cherish every single moment because they pass in an instant. That's why I am so thankful for cameras. We are able to capture all kinds of things that Kaelyn is doing each day!! Her baby book and photo album are going to be full before we know it...haha.

What a night

Boy, the days just fly by. Where does the time go? I've been busy with Kaelyn, home and life in general. I'm not able to blog as much right now but, soon will start back. Being a mother is the greatest! To have this special gift from God is just amazing. She is beyond words. I love her so much.

Looks Like November

Well, more and more it's starting to look like our little October baby will be a November baby. Jen is being induced on the first...so he/she is going to probably have a November birthday. Halloween

Jen and I are both looking forward to Halloween this year. We don't really actually get into the whole Halloween thing, but we enjoy seeing all of the little kids in their cute costumes. Jenna misses being a teacher during this time of year, because they would always have a class party, dress up in costumes and parade around the school so everyone could see them. The kids had so much fun...and I know Jen did too!! She enjoys being home, but sometimes she misses teaching.

Waiting for a call

While I'm at work during the day, I make sure to keep my phone right by me at all times. Now that we passed the baby's due date we know that the baby could be here any time!! I'm so excited and wouldn't want to miss that call for anything. I've also left Jen with many other numbers as ways to get a hold of me in case for some reason she can't reach me on my phone. I told her that no matter what I'm doing, I'm racing there to take her to the hospital. Nothing is more important than family to me and I wouldn't miss this for the world!!

Sometimes this time of year, I really would like to go on a relaxing vacation. Not only because of the cold weather, but also because of the fact that this is the busy season for my line of work...and it would be nice just to get away and relax for awhile. It's been so nice to get some acres in at work lately. Working in the field is the only way that I get some bonus money twice a year...so as many acres as I can do the better!! That just means more money for us and our new baby.

Well, the World Series is underway and we're already getting ready for game three! I can't believe how quickly this series is going. Tomorrow is the night when you'll probably find me in front of the television so I can see if Boston is going to continue it's lead on the Rockies. I don't always watch baseball a whole lot, but I really enjoy watching the World Series. Hmm...I wonder who will win.

Birthdays

This has been a busy month of birthdays. Josh and Jenna had their birthday on the 21st and today was Diana's birthday. Now, both of us couples are waiting for the birth of our little ones...both due to be born this weekend. If they are born on time, they will have October birthday's as well. Wow, October will be a busy month for our family won't it.:)

Work

I've been kind of frustrated at work lately. We have two different locations and I work at both. It seems when I'm sent to one, the other plant is busy out in the field and when I am sent to the other then the other plant gets busy. October or November?!

Hmmm....what will it be...an October Baby or a November Baby?? Our baby's due date is actually this Sunday, which is the 28th. All along we've kind of thought our baby would be born in October. However, it's starting to look like it could end up being a November baby?!? Either way is fine with me...I just am curious which month he/she will born in.

Walking with Jen

Lately Jen and I have been trying to go and walk each night. I was bummed tonight because I had to work a bit later than usual so we weren't able to go. We both like walking around our neighborhood and spending that quality time together. It's also good for Jen as some people say it could help start her labor sooner. I don't know if that's factual or not, but I missed not being able to go walking with her tonight.

I really enjoy watching shows like this as they always having me laughing so hard!! I can't remember what the last one I watched was...but it was truly hilarious. If you've never seen these blooper shows that I talk of, then you definitely will have to check them out sometime.:)

Cleaning the floors

With Jenna being pregnant I've really tried to help her with as much of the house work as possible. One thing that I especially always try and help her with is the kitchen floors. We have wood laminate floors in our kitchen and living room. You can't use water on them...so we have to use a special cleaner. Basically the only way to clean them really well is by getting down on our hands and knees. Obviously Jen is unable to do this so I make sure to do this job. It's not too bad, just time consuming.

Baseball Fans

For all of you baseball fans out there, I'm sure you are really enjoying this time of year with the World Series going on!! So Organized

I often forget that Friday's are our garbage days. I don't know why, but it slips my mind and Jenna usually has to remind me. I guess it's easy to forget when I am working all the time. She works a lot at home too...but she has a better memory than me I guess.:) She's far more organized and is good and remembering things like that. She's such a good wifey...I couldn't ask for better!!!

Online Monopoly

When I do have some time, I've really enjoyed playing online Monopoly. It's so much fun!! I like the board game as well...but playing online is fun because i can start and stop the game whenever I want. I don't get to play it very often, but I do like to play it every now and then when I get the chance. I've tried to get Jen to play it...but she's not really into playing those kinds of games online. Oh well....maybe sometime I'll get her to at least try it.

So Tired!

Even though I haven't been working really late hours lately...I still find that I am quite tired when I get home. I feel bad because I'd really like to spend more time with Jenna at night, but she understands that right now with work it's hard for me to stay up very late with her. Soon the busy season will be over and then it will be easier. It's hard working from 7-6 every night...it really wears on a person.

Weatherman was wrong...

I thought that we were supposed to get quite a bit of rain this week...but it turns out that it's been very nice with no rain. I think it may rain tomorrow evening, but other than that I think it's supposed to stay nice like it has been all week. It's been a little cooler out...but still warm enough to wear a t-shirt. I like this kind of weather because I don't have to put on layers of clothes, but also don't have to sweat my butt off either.:)

Orlando

My wife keeps telling me what a great place Orlando, Florida is to visit. She and I both really want to plan a family vacation there someday, but know that there's so much to do and just want to have a plan in place before we go. What are we having??

It's kind of weird that we don't know if we're having a boy or a girl yet. I can't believe that soon we will know if we are having a son or a daughter. It's been tough not knowing at times...be all in all we're really happy that we chose to wait and find out when the baby is born. I love being surprised...how awesome it will be to hear the doctor tell us if it's a boy or a girl. We kind of have our hunches...but you just never know. We'll keep you updated... :)

Feeling Bad...

I have felt bad for Jenna lately because she seems to be more and more uncomfortable these days. She gets headaches and backaches more frequently and also has not been sleeping the best. I told her that she may like sleeping in the recliner one night instead so that she can sleep without the baby putting so much pressure on her ribs. She said that she may do that, and I told her that I'd sleep out there with her if she wants.

So Excited!!

When I found out that Jen was going to be induced next Thursday i was so excited and called my parents. They were so excited and can't wait to have a new grandchild in the family!! I'm happy that we know for sure that we'll have our little baby by the end of next week...it's such an awesome feeling!! Jen and I were just talking about how weird it is that these our last days together as just a married couple. Soon we will be a family of three and we can't wait.

A pain in the neck...

Have you ever had a nagging headache that just did not seem to go away?!? Well, today that is what I have. The worst part about it is that it's also in my neck, making it very achy and sore. I'd really just like to lay down for a bit, but know that if I do that I won't get the work done that I need to.

Coming Quickly

Only 4 days left!! I can't believe that soon our little one will finally be here. Jen and I were just talking the other night about how surreal it is that we'll be parents here, probably this week sometime. I mean, all throughout the pregnancy we've known that we were going to be parents, but for it to be this close...it's just so amazing! We both are so excited and can't wait!

Trucks

I don't have a truck, but my father-in-law and my dad both do. It was a very close game that it shouldn't have been, but the Vikings still came out on top. It puts their record at 2-3 and in second place in the NFC North. They finally figured out that Adrian Peterson is their offense and without him they would really suck. Keep it up Vikes!

Jen's Birthday

Jenna's birthday is coming up this next week, but with me being busy in the field we decided to celebrate it this past weekend. Can't Wait for Our Baby!

We only have a couple of weeks left before Jenna is due with our baby, and I am so excited. Although it's not the best timing with work, family comes first, and I will be there to see our baby born and be there for Jenna as she is in the hospital....nothing could keep me from that!!:) I really can't describe in words how very proud of Jenna I am for carrying our baby and soon to have it, and how excited I am to be a Dad. It's just such an awesome feeling!!

Krazr K1m

My mother-in-law's phone has been acting up lately, so I told her she should just get a new one. I told her that if she wants something comparable to her Razr then she should get the new Krazr. It has all the same features as the Razr but is not as wide, and is really a lot neater looking. She has had it for a week now and absolutely loves it. I guess I did good.:)

Baby's Name

We are down to the last couple of weeks before our baby is born and Jenna and I are having a hard time picking a girls name. It's such a big decision...and we're just unsure! We don't know whether it's going to be a boy or girl, so we have to be prepared for both. It will be interesting to see what we decide. I think we're just going to wait and see if we're having a girl, and then if we do...we'll see which name suits her best.

Got my truck back!

I finally got my spinner truck back and am so happy. The old truck I was using was loud and the radio didn't work, so I had to sit the whole day in silence...this was quite boring to say the least!! So, to get my new truck back is pretty awesome!! It's really quiet and the radio works great. Now I'm ready for work....Let's go spreading!

Cold Weather

The past few days have been in the upper 40's and lower 50's, and last week the temperature was in the 60's and 70's. It's just crazy how the temperatures change so quickly from week to week here in Minnesota! I am not a big fan of winter, so the longer it can stay warm the better I like. I just hope this is a mild winter. You never know though. Only time will time I guess.

Getting More and More Busy..

After all the rain that we have had it has been kind of frustrating at work trying to get everything done. Finally this past week we were able to get some work done so that there will be less to do this spring. I have a feeling that it's still going to be a crazy spring, I just want to get as much done before it snows, to make it a less crazy spring.

My Spinner

What a bad day, we have finally started to get a little busy with spreading fertilizer and my Spinner truck's power steering went out as I was going across a field. These trucks are the size of big Monster Trucks, so as you could imagine I couldn't even turn the steering wheel. So I had to leave the machine in the field and use the old back-up spinner to finish my jobs. I can't wait to get my new one back.

Golfing

Today would have been a WONDERFUL golfing day. We don't get many of those kinds of days up north here in October. My father-in-law and I both really enjoy golfing. Zoe

Jen and I are dogsitting her parents dog this weekend. Zoe is a really good dog and so easy to watch. She's really well-behaved and for the most part just lays around and sleeps. I know Jen was especially excited for her to come because she's really great company to her while I'm at work all week. We have her til' next weekend so that should be nice for her.

Day Off

I'm so happy...this is the second weekend in a row that I am able to have off from work. With all the rain we've been getting there just hasn't been too much to do around work. We have a few big trees and they sure have shed their leaves quickly. Thankfully I was able to get a mower with a vacuum on it to get rid of most of them. I never had really heard of Symark before, until just recently coming across a web release about them online while browsing the web. Brakes

Our car has been making some funny noise for a while now. We think it has something to do with the back brakes. Beautiful Day

I was so happy to look out the window this morning and find the sun shining bright with no rain clouds in site. Typically rainy days means not much work for me at work. I normally wouldn't mind, but we have lots that we need to get done in the fields before the snow comes...and here in Minnesota you just never know when that's going to be. I'm glad it's a nice day...now we can get out there and get some work done!

Street Lights

Jen and I live on a fairly quiet street which is nice...but the one thing that's missing is good lighting around the neighborhood at night. Thankfully one of the only street lamps is right across the street from us. We really appreciate that, except for when it burns out. It was out for over a week...and at night when you looked out it was complete darkness. Now, they finally fixed it, which is nice because it allows us to see our yard and street.

Garage

When Jen and I were shopping around for a house to buy, the garage was a huge thing that I looked at. The house that we ended up buying had the perfect garage, and was even heated. My wife would joke about the face that I would get a big smile on my face when we walked in the garage, and that it seemed to be my favorite room in the house...that's right room!
