New Bluetooth

For some reason I can't find my bluetooth headset. I was kind of bummed about that because it's something that I need at work once the busy season starts up again. Since I feel it's something I really need...I decided to take some of my birthday money and buy one tonight. I'm excited to get it in the mail now.

Another baby shower

Jen and I found out that not only is my mom's side throwing her a baby shower, but my dad's side is as well. We were pretty excited about this...as we feel so blessed to just have family who thinks to throw us showers. It will be fun to get everyone together and play games. I think it will be a great time.

Baby shower

It sounds like my Aunts and my mom are throwing Jenna a baby shower at the end of September. I thought that was really nice of them. Jen's gonna invite her mom, grandma, aunts, cousins, and a few friends I think. It should be a great time...I'm really hoping that I don't have to work that day so I can go too.:) It is just making it that much more real that our baby will be here very soon.

Baby Names

Jenna and I have found that it's not too easy trying to decide on a name for our little one who arrives in just a couple of months. We've always known the middle names that we would like to use, and have had a boy name picked out since day one. But, for some reason, picking out a girl name is much harder. I don't mind either of them, and Jenna doesn't mind either of the ones we are thinking of either...but it's just picking ONE that is the hard part...haha.:) Hopefully we will decide soon...as we don't have much longer.:)

32 weeks pregnant

I can't believe Jenna is already 32 weeks along in her pregnancy!! It seems like yesterday we were just finding out she was pregnant...wow time flies!! Only about 8 weeks left and then we'll finally get to meet our little one...we both are just so excited!! I'm sure October will be here before we know it!

Long weekend

I'm really excited to have such a long weekend this week. Since we have the golf tournament today, tomorrow I took off work, and Monday is Labor Day...I have a 5 day weekend! I sure wish every week could be like that.:) I don't mind work at all...but having that long of a weekend to watch sports, golf, spend with Jenna, etc...I love it!!

Golf Club Head Covers

For my birthday, Jenna had ordered me some golf club head covers off of eBay. She ordered them 10 days ago...hoping that would be plenty of time to get them shipped here in time for the golf tournament today. Unfortunately they have not arrived yet...so it has Jenna wondering what the hold up is. I think she's been e-mailing the seller, just to make sure that they've been sent out. I'm really excited to get them.

My Wife

I am always telling Jenna how cute I think she looks pregnant! She looks exactly as I thought she would. One of the cutest things is her belly button. All throughout her pregnancy, I kept telling her that it looked like her belly button was going to pop out because it kept stretching and stretching. Then, just this week she woke up and there it was...out like a button. It looks so cute. You can even see it through all of her clothes.

Very Active Baby

The baby sure has been moving a lot...Jenna is always telling me that the baby is so active. It's fun at night because when Jen lays on her side, you can just see the baby kicking and rolling around...I just love it. I know that it's beginning to get a little more uncomfortable for Jenna as she nears the end of her pregnancy, but she's still loving it when the baby moves. It's just such a miracle...we can't wait to meet him/her!

Where did August go?

Can you believe that it's almost September already?! Wow..where does the time go? It seems like Jenna and I were just moving here to start my new job last February, and now we've been here for almost 7 months already. I'm not complaining or anything though...the sooner October gets here the better...because that's when our first baby will be born...we can't wait to meet him/her!

Golfing Day!

I'm very excited for today, because it is the golf tournament that Bill and I have been looking forward to for quite some time now. It's a day full of golf and fun...can't get much better than that! They actually feed us throughout the day too...and the golf is free! Now I really like that. We're pretty lucky, because we've actually had the opportunity to golf quite a bit this summer...hopefully next summer will be the same way.

The Piano

At first I wasn't sure about getting Jen's old piano and having it in our front living room. However, over the past few days I've really began to enjoy having it here. First of all, it took up a very empty and bare place in that room...and now has filled it and fits in perfectly with the rest of the room. I also enjoy it because now Jen can play some when she wants, which she really seems to enjoy. I'm glad that it's here...I'm thankful that bill and vicky helped moved it up here for us.

Miami Heat Tickets

I love Football!

I love football! I'm so glad that there is finally football on during the week and weekends. My favorite team would have to be the Vikings, but I enjoy watching any game really. Owen Wilson..."attempted suicide"

I'm sure many of you have heard the news by now about Owen Wilson. I was getting so confused at first, because one day I heard that he committed suicide by jumping off a bridge and the next day I heard that he overdosed. It just seems that the press jumps on these stories too quickly without having all the facts. From the sounds of it, from Police call logs and his attorney, Owen Wilson "attempted suicide" by slitting his wrists. I hope all of the rumors stop now and people give Owen the space he deserves. He's obviously going through some difficult times in his life and I think he just needs to be left alone from the press and paparazzi for now.

The Day Off

I decided to take Friday off from work. With my job, it's hard to take much time off...most summers I am able to, but this summer was different because of the rain and stuff that we had early on. I decided that I wanted to take a day since busy season will be starting up soon. I will go with Jenna to her Dr's appointment, we may go meet with our car insurance agent, but other than that...we're just going to enjoy each other's company.

Golfing Tomorrow

I'm looking forward to tomorrow...as my work as another golf outing that I'm going to play in. My grandpa always invites Jen's dad to these things which is really nice...Bill and I love playing golf together. We have so much fun. We're just hoping that the rain says away and that we have a beautiful day to play.

Great Church

I'm looking forward to getting to go to church tomorrow. We really enjoy the church that we have been attending here since we moved up here...it's really upbeat and their pastor really does a great job preaching. I always enjoy going and I know Jen does too. We're excited to raise our kids in a church like this one.

Great Dog

Jenna's parents are up here, because they moved up the piano yesterday. They brought their dog Zoe because they stayed the night last night so we could all go out to eat for supper tonight for my birthday. We just love it when they bring Zoe...she's such a sweet and lovable dog who is great company for Jenna while I'm at work.

Jenna has gotten me a birthday present and she won't tell me what it is. My birthday isn't actually officially until Monday, so she wants to wait until then to give it to me. So Tired

I don't know why, but I've been really tired the past few days. I really shouldn't be tired because I have been able to sleep in a little later and have been able to get off work at descent times as well. I need to get all rested up before the busy season starts though, because then I won't get any sleep.

Jen's Appointment

Now that Jenna is getting closer to the end of her pregnancy, she has been having to go to the doctor's more often. I haven't been able to go to every appointment with her, but am going to try my best to make it to as many as I can. Her next appointment is this Friday...and we are going to be meeting one of the other doctor's, just in case he is on call when she goes into labor.

Labor Day

It's weird that Labor Day is right around the corner...can you believe it??!! Wow! I'm actually looking forward to it though...that means that I will have the day off from work and will get to spend it with my wifey!:) We may go boating or something...as that's something that Jenna has been wanting to do for a while now.

The third cake that I got for my birthday was from Jen's parents. Her mom makes cakes for everyone on their birthday, and she knows that I love strawberry cheesecake. It was SOOO yummy! My wife loves to make me a cake every year for my birthday and this year she made me a yummy Jello cake. I just love this kind of cake. I like how it is cold, and love the cool whip/pudding frosting that she puts on it!! She's so good to me! What a great wife I have.

Birthday Cake #1

So, my birthday started out last night with Jen and I spending the evening with my side of the family. The supper was great...but the pie was my favorite part. My stepmom had made me a strawberry rubbarb pie...yum!! I ate so much, that my stomach was sore. I just love this type of pie!!

NASCAR

I am a big football fan, but another sport I really enjoy is NASCAR! I've become a big fan over the years...it's just such an easy sport to get into. I find myself flipping between football games and NASCAR races. Tonight is one of those nights. My wife doesn't really like it very much, but she puts up with it.

My Grandpa

My grandpa stopped by our place tonight. He hadn't seen our house yet, so we gave him the grand tour. He really seemed to like it and thought it was a great place to raise our family. He liked the neighborhood and everything about it. I'm glad he was able to stop by and see it.

Disney Vacation

I, for one, have never been on a vacation to Disney World, let alone Florida. Football Season

Very Nice Weather

Golfing Today

Today I had a great time golfing. My grandpa ended up not being able to come out with us...but Bill and I sure had a nice time! Bill is a really good golfer...me on the other hand...I have my good days and then my bad days. I'm sure that with more time and practice I will get better too. I just am glad that it was such a nice morning for it.

New Doors

We recently got a new door on the front of our house, along with a new screen door. The screen door is actually a full glass window (the window can be replaced with a screen if desired) and it looks so nice. When Zoe is here, she spends much of her time at the front door. It's exactly like the one that Jen's parents have...so I'm thinking it probably makes her feel right at home which is nice.

Well, I'm going to have to sign off for now....as Bill and I really need to get to our tee time at the golf course. We have a long morning of golf ahead of us and we can't wait!! That is one thing that I could do any time of the day as long as it isn't snowing. Thankfully it's not even raining today!! YYEAAHH!

Jenna's parents are up here, because they moved up the piano yesterday. The Piano

Jenna is really happy to have her piano at our place finally. It was the piano that her parents bought years ago when she first began learning how to play. They really had no use for it now that all the kids are grown and gone, so they said that if she wanted it, she could have it in our new home. I wasn't real excited about it at first, just cuz it's so big...but once they got it in here...I must admit that it looks very nice. I'm glad that she was able to get something so special to her.

Almost the weekend

I'm really glad that today is Thursday. This week has not gone as fast as some have in the past. Mowing

It has been raining for the past week or so, making it very difficult to get much work down outside. I noticed that our lawn needed to be mowed badly, and took the opportunity when it stopped raining for about a half hour to quickly mow it. Thankfully I got done just before the storm hit, because otherwise I'm not sure when it would have gotten done.

Well, I woke up this morning it's quite the dreary morning. I keep waiting to wake up and see the sun shining, but that has not happened for quite some time. I hope that soon the weather warms up just a little and that it stops raining. That would make for a much more enjoyable weekend.

When I was younger my family went on a few vacations but not many. With there being five kids, plus my parents, I can imagine that planning a vacation was not an easy task. Back then there was no internet, so to plan a family vacation you needed to get books that had information on the states and cities you were thinking about visiting, get hotel brochures, have your maps, and make sure that you had access to a telephone to line everything up. What a pain!! Doing this in itself would make me want to take a vacation...what a lot of work. LP Class

This week I'm attending training about an hour from where I normally work. Although it's not the most fun, and kind of boring...going to this training instead of working is kind of nice because then I get to be home earlier in the afternoon than I normally would. I love this, and so does Jenna. Last night we got to spend a lot more time together than we normally do during the week and it was really nice. We just relaxed and enjoyed our new place.

Weather ?

I am really hoping that it doesn't rain like the weatherman says it's going to all weekend. I don't mind if it rains some tomorrow, but saturday is my family's annual golf outing...something I look forward to all year long!! I hope it's a beautiful day that day so we can still golf.

Halloween the movie

Are you the type of person who enjoys scary movies? I don't like all scary movies, but there are a few that I can watch over and over. One of my favorites would probably have to be the old time thriller, Psycho. Although this movie is far from new, I always enjoy watching it, as it has me on the edge of my seat each time. I think a good scary movie is one that keeps you interested and intense by using different types of music and environments to set the scene. I think the new Halloween the movie will be a movie just like that. I think, writer and director, Rob Zombie, will make sure that it's a thriller that many people look back on and want to watch over and over...much like the other Halloween movies that have been released over the years. Did you know that Halloween the movie is going to be released this month? That's right!! It's being released on August 31st...are you excited? I'm sure that it will be much different than the other Halloween movies, but I like all of them, so I'm looking forward to see what this one is like. Aren't you? Flying By...

I can't believe it's already Wednesday already. With all this moving and unpacking and stuff I find that time has just flown by. During the days I work, and then at night I got home and work on the house and get things done there. Oh well, I guess I'm the type of person who enjoys keeping busy so I'm not complaining...it's nice when the weeks go by so quickly.

Having just moved to a city where there is a lot of lakes, my wife and I have talked about someday getting a boat and some other water toys like that. In fact, my family actually has some of those right now...but seem to be having some troubles with one of their boats. Car Stuff

A while back my wife and I ran into a little water here in town. We didn't know of this one area that tends to flood when it rains, and we attempted to drive right through it...only making our car stall and lose it's front two hubcaps. Yesterday we went to have some of the fluids flushed and refilled...and boy is that expensive. We were pretty bummed about the cost, but are happy that more didn't get damaged from all the water.
