Capella University

Capella University is an accredited, fully online university that has continued to grow since they were founded in1993. They offer both undergraduate and graduate degree programs for students to choose from. Last year there were over 24,000 students enrolled. That's pretty amazing since these are students from all over the united states and other countries. In looking into them, I was more than impressed with their online degree options and the education they could give me if I decided to go back and pursue a master's degree like Jeannie McGuire. She is the founder of Project Unity and a former master's student from Capella. She has recently received the Sunny Andrews Award for commitment to social work from the ASWB. If you'd like to learn more about her award or Capella, their site offers much more information.

Gloomy Weather Forecast

I was watching the weather forecast this morning before I leave for work and am pretty disappointed with the gloomy predictions. It's looking like snow is on it's way and may be here for a few days at least. I'm hoping that the inches they are predicting are not accurate, as we really don't need more snow. I guess all we can do is wait and see...I'm just trying to think positively and hope for the best.

Gone Again

What a busy week it has been so far. Monday started out with a meeting I had for most of the morning and into the afternoon. I then did a little work at the office, and headed home to pick up Jen and Kaelyn so we could go to her parent's house. I had to go away for business for a couple of days...so Jen thought it would be nice to have the company of her parents while I was gone. We went back Monday night because I had to leave fairly early on Tuesday morning and it was much closer for me from there. I had a good time at my meetings, but am happy to be home too. I always miss my girls when I'm gone.

Allegro Medical

Allegro Medical has one million customers and continues to grow as they provide products that help to enhance ones life, such as Exercise & Fitness Equipment, Nutritional Dietary Supplements, Maternity/Baby Supplies and Outdoor Gear. That's a very broad list of categories right there, and under them is a total of 55,000 products that they carry. That is a lot!! I thought it would be really hard to find what I was looking for with this large inventory, but it wasn't! Their site is very user friendly and has everything divided into categories and sub categories. That makes searching so much easier. Even if you're looking for something like a handicapped toilet...it's really easy to find using this site. They have it all! Check it out for yourself.

Hide Em' In Your Heart

Kaelyn got a really great gift from Uncle Jake over Christmas. It's a DVD/CD by Steve Green called Hide Em' in Your Heart. They take Bible verses and make them into songs for children. It's very catchy and what a good thing to be feeding the minds of young children like Kaelyn. I'm so thankful that he bought her this gift. She absolutely loves it! I'm thinking it would be a great gift for all of our nieces and nephews actually...as kids of any age would enjoy it.

Retailers Forum

Retailers Forum magazine has been around since 1981. They basically make it possible for businesses to find wholesale suppliers of all kinds of products to resell at stores, flea markets and more! What's even better is that they created a free digital version of their magazine. Every month the latest issue is posted with ads from those selling apparel, gifts, jewelry, etc at wholesale prices. With the economy the way it is it's people like this that are trying to help. You can learn more about them by checking out their site today and get a Free copy of Retailers Forum Magazine.

Fun

I am always up for making money online while doing something fun at the same time. Jen recently introduced me to Winster online and it is so much fun. You basically play games, and with the points you earn, you can get great prizes. It's not a 'get rick quick' sort of thing but definitely something worth trying if you like to have fun and earn prizes or money!! I'm really enjoying it. I'm sure glad she showed me how to start up.

Shop Wiki

Have you ever heard of Shop Wiki before? They make online shopping even easier now. They can help you find every single store on the web by crawling it. So how is this different than other traditional shopping sites? Well...with those usually you are only shown the stores that have paid to be there....however Shop Wiki gives the shopper all of them.

I don't know about you, but I think it's great. What an easy and convenient way to shop and find all the sales on the web at one place. I don't think I'll ever be using a different site to search for my shopping needs. For instance, Jen and I are in search for a better wireless router and are using the resources provided here at Shop Wiki.

So, whether you're looking for electronics or items for babies and toddlers like car seats....this is the site for you. Check it out and see what you think today.

Time with Family

Well...it's off to work I go once again. Last week I was in class all week, but now it's back to reality. I'm actually looking forward to it, as I would much rather be doing the job I love than sitting in a class 8 hours a day for a week! It's definitely a job that I can say I truly enjoy...not many people can say that about their careers. I look forward to going each day....but also enjoy my time at night with the family.

The Village Voice

If you've heard of the Village Voice before, you know that they are not only the largest alternative newsweekly, but offer reporting and criticism that goes back over 50 years. It's very interesting. In fact, so many people enjoy it, that they have received three Pulitzer prizes. They offer information on politics, entertainment, culture, New York Restaurants and so much more. They also have a a website www.villagevoice.com. They have also been recognized with awards like the
National Press Foundation’s Online Journalism Award and the Editor and Publisher Eppy Award for Best Overall US Weekly Newspaper Online. If you'd like to check out their site for more information on all that they cover, I would recommend doing so today.

TaylorMade all the way!

This Christmas my generous In-Laws, got me a set of TaylorMade R7 golf clubs. Which is exciting to me because they are my first brand new set of Brand Name clubs. I also got a gift card from my Grandma, to Dick's Sporting Goods, where I bought a new TaylorMade golf bag. Now all I need to do is finish off the set with a TaylorMade Driver, Woods, and Putter. So if there is anyone out there, I do take donations, and would love to complete my set!

TGIF!

Although this week hasn't been all that busy, I am glad that it Friday and I can spend the weekend at home with my family. I have been away all week on business, and I am happy to have a weekend with nothing going on so I can enjoy the company of my family and just relax. Oh yeah, and watch some Playoff Football!

Monaco Rare Coin

There are many people who invest with Monex. I for one have never done it, but am looking into it. I came across Monex's website and learned that they are a trusted leader in the precious metals investments industry and have been for almost 40 years. I thought this was very impressive. They have helped thousands of people invest with gold coin, silver and other precious metals. Monaco Rare Coin is also a part of the Monex family of companies and offers a vast array of resources for both investors and collectors alike. I was very impressed with the quality of business that they have and the experience of their professionals there to help. If you'd like to learn more about either of them, check out the site today.

I love My Job!

So, I have been with the company I work for about 4 months now and little did I know that there would be so many perks that go with it. Not only do they take good care of us when we travel for business, but the also take care of us in the off season by taking us on nice little trips. At the end of February they are taking us on a trip down to Branson, Missouri were we get the option of fishing or golfing. And then in March we're taking another trip up to Wisconsin snowmobiling. It's a rough job but someone has to do it.

She's walking!

It's amazing to see how much you don't notice when you are around somone everyday. My daughter is almost 15 months and she just learned how to walk within the past week. I left for a business trip this past Sunday and my daughter was taking about 15 to 20 steps, not with very much confidence. So when I came back today and she is walking, and standing up on her own unassisted I was completely blown away. My little girl is growing up, right before my eyes.
