Kaelyn's First Birthday
The other day I was sitting with Jenna and we were discussing Kaelyn and how she will be one before we know it. I can't believe it's only a couple of months off already!! Wow!! We're wanting to plan a first birthday party for her, with our families invited....so now the planning begins. Jen always has creative and fun ideas...and so far she's coming up with some neat plans!! It's going to be a very special day, for both Kaelyn and all who are there to help her celebrate! I can't wait for the day to come....but on the other hand it's really come to fast! I feel like just yesterday I was posting that we had a little girl, and now that little girl is getting older right before my eyes!!

Emotionally Draining Weekend
I had hoped to post more in the past week, but let me tell you....it's been one of the toughest weeks I've ever had. Some may be thinking busy....as that can make weeks rather hard, but I'm talking more emotionally difficult! For quite some time now I've been praying that the Lord show us if I am to take another job. I know He wants the absolute best for me and wants me to be happy in my job.
I went into my current job with every intention of staying there. However, with time I learned that my heart was not there. As much as I wanted it to be, it just wasn't. When I was in college I learned that sales is a field I was very interested in. After working almost two years in the agriculture industry, a career in sales became even more evident. As many people do, I kept my resume updated on Monster, as I never think that hurts. Not all that long ago, I received a call from a recruiter who was very interested in helping me find an agronomy sales position. I was open to the idea and so began my search. He came to me with many options, however many of which I had to turn down due to location and not wanting to relocate. Then one day, he came to me with a job that sounded ABSOLUTELY perfect!! It was not only in the area we wanted, but also offered everything and more. I prayed that the Lord lead me in the direction that I was to go and that it be clear to me. I've learned that God's plan for me is the VERY best, so I want exactly what he has for us....not just what I want. As time went on, and interviews were made.....I was feeling very good about this position. Finally, last Friday I received a call that literally had me jumping with joy! They had offered me the position and all the benefits I needed and wanted. God is SO good!!
Now the hard part came this weekend when I had to break the news to my employers, who are also my family members (two uncles and my grandpa). I care very much for them, and in no way wanted to disappoint them or make them angry. It was an emotionally draining weekend having to tell them, and so far just have one uncle left to tell. It's been one of the toughest things I have had to do in my life....but know that I am doing what's best because it's where God is leading me. He will take care of everything that comes my way! He always has, and He always will! My complete trust and faith is in Him!
I am now officially an agronomy sales specialist!! Yeah! Praise the Lord!! :)

Las Vegas
Las Vegas is a place that Jen and I have considered visiting. I have never been there, and Jen has but a long time ago. I was doing a little research, and on the site, Best Of Vegas, I came across some great information regarding Las Vegas Hotels, Las Vegas Shows and the low prices that we could get for them. I also learned more about the tours, attractions and clubs in the area. All of it was very interesting and informative. I really liked how they only give you the best of the best. This is exactly what I was looking for. If you're like me and looking into Las Vegas vacations....check out their site today. You won't be sorry you did.
Busy, Busy
Wow...I can't believe it's already Wednesday! Where do the weeks go? So far this week has just flown by. It hardly seems possible that we're half way through the week already. I'm not complaining or anything...I love my weekends! I just can't get over the fact how fast the days are going by. I don't mind the time I'm at work going by quickly, but once I'm home with Jen and Kaelyn I wish it would slow down a bit! I'd like to feel like I had more time to spend with them. But often by the time I get home, Kaelyn is off to bed and Jen and I have work to do around the house.
My Sister is Visiting
My sister is stopping by today. She hasn't seen us or Kaelyn for over a month...so she was wanting to come over and visit. I think she's coming this afternoon sometime when kaelyn wakes from her afternoon nap. Then she's planning on staying a bit so she can see Jen and I too for a while. It will be nice to see her. She's also bringing some clothes from my sister who livs out in Virginia. They are done having children, so she is sending all of her girl clothes to us for Kaelyn. I thought that was pretty nice of her.
Outlawradiators.com
Outlawradiators.com is a site that I think many people should check out. They are the leading online source for radiators and cooling components. They really have great quality radiators at the lowest prices around. They also offer a satisfaction guaranteed lifetime warranty. It doesn't matter if you're looking commercially or for personal reasons for a Radiator...they are a great resource and I had to pass the information along to others who might be interested in learning more. If you'd like to check them out and see what they're all about....head over to their site when you get the chance and see what you think. I don't think you'll be sorry you did.
HGTV
Ever since we bought our home, HGTV is probably our favorite television channel to watch! We enjoy almost every show that they have on there, day or night. It's fun to watch as people change things in their house and what a difference those changes make. We've learned that it doesn't take much to update a room in your house. For instance, we painted an accent wall in our kitchen...and boy what a difference. We also updated our light fixture and put in a new sink. These were all fairly small things...and it's made our kitchen feel so much nicer. It'fs fun to get ideas like this off of HGTV.
Curb Appeal
Recently we did some landscaping around our house. We kept it pretty simple, as this is what we like best. So far the plants and flowers all seem to be doing very well...except for a few that seem to be getting attacked by bugs! I am surprised, as Jen nor I have green thumbs so to speak. They're all growing very well though, and have really added to the "curb appeal" of our house. At some point we would like to add some more rock to the front of the house and get rid of a HUGE tree in our front yard...but so far it's looking really nice!
Beach Store
Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to go to the beach many times in my life...but it sure would be fun sometime to go on a vacation and just relax with my family. If we ever do that I'm definitely going to have to look into Beach Chair. They help beach goers find the most reliable products needed to have a good time. Whether you're looking for beach chairs, umbrellas, bags, towels, carts, beachwear, or something else....they have it all! If you're interested in learning more about them like I was....head over to their site where you'll find all the information you need.
Summer Flying By
Doesn't it seem like the summer months go way too fast? Where I live they do anyways! Here in the midwest it seems we only get a few months of really nice weather...while the other 8 months or so are winter! I don't mind alittle winter, but overall I'd prefer it warm with now snow on the ground. It just seems like the nice weather goes by more quickly than we want it to...making it hard to even enjoy the little bit of summer time that we have. Soon it will be fall and the temps will begin to drop. I'm hoping I get some more time outdoors with the fam to enjoy this warm weather before it cools down.
Busy at Work
Thankfully the weather has been pretty nice lately. Usually I wouldn't mind a little bit of rain, but when that happens this time of year it just drags out this busy time at work. I like to just get my work done. We're spraying for bugs right now in the fields and I am really hoping to be done by the end of the week. It's not hard or anything, but the hours are longer, which means less time with Jen and Kaelyn at night. I'd even like to take off a couple days before our Fall busy season starts....so we'lll have to see how things go.
Blister Prevention Patches
Living here in the midwest I know something about Tamarack Habilitation Technologies, Inc. They manufacture Blister Prevention Patches which are supposed to be a great product. In fact, I just read that it was announced that the patches have been awarded the National Health and Wellness Club Seal of Approval. If you'd like to learn more about them you can read the product reviews and testimonials that come out in print online released this fall. I was really impressed with all the information I found on their site as well, and I think you will be too. Check it out and see what you think.
Yesterday Jen got some great things in the mail. She had ordered a toy box for Kaelyn and it's very nice. It's actually bigger than we expected which will be nice. Kaelyn has a lot of toys already and she's not even a year old...haha. She also ordered a few pictures to hang in the newly finished bedroom downstairs. They are canvas pics and look really neat. She doesn't have them hung yet, but when she does they will look great with the other things she's done in there.
Consignment Sale
Jen and I were just talking last night and it sounds like we're going to be going to the big consignment sale that's about an hour from where we live at the beginning of September. Last Spring we had such good luck finding lots of great things for Kaelyn. I'm hoping we have the same luck this time! I think we're hoping to find quite a few clothes for Kaelyn for the winter and next Spring, as well as some toys that will be age appropriate for her once she turns one. She's such a busy baby and needs lots of things to keep her entertained and interested.
Regency
If you've ever looked into going to a beauty school...you may have come across Regency. They are the fastest growing beauty school in the country. They were founded more than 50 years ago in Minneapolis, and have now expanded to over 30 campuses in 9 different states across the US. What's great about this school...and probably different than other schools like it...is their approach. They give students a hands on and high quality education. Sound like something you're looking for? If so, definitely check out their site today and see if beauty schools in minnesota are the right place for you! You won't be sorry you did.
A Schedule for Kaelyn
It's so nice having Kaelyn on a set schedule...Jen has done such a good job with her! Having her on a set, two naps a day and eating three solid meals a day really helps. I think it's good for Kaelyn because then she knows what's coming next...and for us it's nice because we can try to plan around those times. When she was a newborn it was a bit harder because she was sleeping and eating constantly. Now, with time she's settled into quit the routine and it's very nice! I think part of it is that Jen was a teacher...so she knows how to get kids on a schedule and why it's so important for them.
Time With Family
I'm really looking forward to work slowing down a bit. We've been quite busy lately, and I can't wait for a week when I can just go in and come home at a descent time of day. Jen and I trying to get so much done at home so with all of that it would be nice to get home at a good time of day so that I'm not completely exhausted and having to stay up late. I think after this week our schedule should get better. You never know, but so far that's what it's looking like. I sure hope so...I need some time to catch up on sleep and spend some quality time with Jen and Kaelyn.

They offer so many wonderful life enhancing products. It's too good to pass up. They are quickly growing and currently serve more than one million customers! Wow!! Busy Week
It's only Tuesday and I'm already stressing about all the things we have to get done this week! Tonight I need to get some more trim done in the basement. I think two-three more days and we will have that finished. The problem is finding the time. Tomorrow evening my sister will be coming up to visit, one night my mom will be stopping for supper, one night we may be going out with my dad for his birthday....and sometime in there we have to get Kaelyn's 9 month pics taken. I love doing all of these things....I'm just wondering when we're going to finally get this basement done?!? Hopefully this weekend.
Kaelyn is 9 Months Old
I can't get over the fact that Kaelyn is over 9 months old now! I know I say that every month...but it's crazy to me how quickly she is growing and changing. Jen was telling me the other day how we're going to have to get her pics taken soon...and I was like "what...didn't we just get them taken?". She reminded me that Kaelyn turned 9 months recently...and that she hadn't had her pics since 6 months old. That's how quickly the time goes! It felt like just yesterday that we were getting her pics taken. Wow! Before I know it my little girl will be one!!
