Ultrasound

It's been fun lately, because Jenna just had her first ultrasound this past week and everyone was so excited to see our little one's first pictures.:) It's so neat how our baby is only a couple inches long, but he/she is still visible on an ultrasound. It's great to see that our baby is growing and is healthy! What a fun time.

Birthdays!

April 7th is always a fun day because it's my mom's birthday and jen's little brother's birthday. My mom had to work today, but we still called her and wished her a happy birthday. Jacob was able to come home this weekend with his girlfriend, so he and Jen's parents came up to AL to go out to eat for the best pizza around. It was nice that Jen and I got to spend his 21st birthday with him...he seemed to have a good birthday.

New siding

We had a really great time with Jen's parent this weekend. We hadn't been to FC in a while, and they had done a lot of things with their house that we hadn't seen yet. It was fun to see their new siding and new windows....it's amazing how changes like this can make a house look so different. It really looks nice! They are going to be doing some landscaping this spring too...so that will look really nice too.

The Cities

We had so much fun up in the cities. It was so great getting to spend the weekend together, eating out and shopping. We don't get to do things like that too often, so it was nice to get away and relax. Jen was able to buy some maternity clothes, which it seems she will be needing here very soon. :) It's nice not living too far from the cities, because if we wanted to sometime, we could actually just make a day of it and go shopping sometime.

Zoe

It's been a lot of fun having Zoe around the house lately. We've been watching her because Jen's parents were having some work done on their house, and then they're taking a trip to see her brother down in Texas. Zoe is a Bichon Frise, and she's SUCH a good dog! We never have any problems with her. She just lays around most of the day sleeping or looking out the window and when she's not doing that, she's eating or outside. One thing that's nice about Zoe is that she was trained to ring a bell when she has to go potty. This works really well, because Jen's parents just bring the bell to our place and hang it on our door. It is really a neat way to train a dog, and Zoe does really well with it. She's such a neat dog...we'll watch her any time!

Getting Settled

It feels really good to be getting settled into our new home. We recently realized that we had some things to take care of, like switching our license plates, register our car in Minnesota, and get new licenses. Unlike Iowa, Minnesota makes you take a written test to get your license in their state. Jen and I felt pretty silly doing this, as it has been many years since we had to take a written driving test. But thankfully we both did well and our licenses should be in the mail.

Expecting a baby...

We are so excited because we've finally told everything that we're expecting our first baby. Both of our families are so excited!! It's such a fun time, as we just recently moved, I have a new job, and now we're expecting our first baby! It's pretty neat too, because the baby is due in October which is also Jen's birthday month. Who knows...maybe we'll have two birthday's on Oct.21st?? You never know.:) We're just so excited!
