Thanksgiving

Today is Thanksgiving and I have so much to be thankful for! I am so thankful for the Lord and his unconditional love for us. I am also thankful for our sweet, loving, and healthy children. They are such a joy and we love them very much. My wife is the best and couldn't ask for anyone better to spend my whole life with. I could go on and on for all that I'm thankful for...these are just a few of many. Thank you Jesus for sending your son, for my wonderful family, for my job and so much more!

Are you a facebook user? It's become a huge social network, but I am not that fond of it. They seem to change things all the time, and I just loose track of what they do. I enjoy going on and keeping up with some friends and family, but for the most part I do not use it much. I could take it or leave it probably. My wife really likes it though. She updates it with the kids' pictures etc so our family out of state can watch them as they grow. So that's nice I guess.

Patience

Our house is for sale and so far there's not much going on with it. We've had some offers and lots of showings, but are still waiting for the right buyer. At least we're not being pressured to move or anything...we'd just like to get closer to my job and to family. I hope it happens before winter so we don't have to move in the cold. WE'll see though. Whatever happens and happens and it will be the way it's supposed to be. We just have to be patient.

Birthdays

Can you believe that October is more than half over? I can't! It's nice though. Work is starting to slow down and I actually have more time with family. It's nice for sure. Thursday is my wife's bday and then a week after is my daughter's. It's a busy, but fun time of year and hopefully we'll have lots of time to celebrate. Our son's 1st birthday is at the end of November too. Lots of birthdays to go around.

Toys

Isn't it funny the toys that kids find the most interesting. Our kids have all kinds of store-bought toys, but their favorites seem to be boxes and balloons...haha. I just think it's funny that people (like us) continue to buy our kids expensive toys when all they really want is the simple things we already have around the house. They'll play with an empty big box for hours. Hiding in it, climbing it...you name it. I think it's great!
