Patience

Our house is for sale and so far there's not much going on with it. We've had some offers and lots of showings, but are still waiting for the right buyer. At least we're not being pressured to move or anything...we'd just like to get closer to my job and to family. I hope it happens before winter so we don't have to move in the cold. WE'll see though. Whatever happens and happens and it will be the way it's supposed to be. We just have to be patient.

Birthdays

Can you believe that October is more than half over? I can't! It's nice though. Work is starting to slow down and I actually have more time with family. It's nice for sure. Thursday is my wife's bday and then a week after is my daughter's. It's a busy, but fun time of year and hopefully we'll have lots of time to celebrate. Our son's 1st birthday is at the end of November too. Lots of birthdays to go around.

Toys

Isn't it funny the toys that kids find the most interesting. Our kids have all kinds of store-bought toys, but their favorites seem to be boxes and balloons...haha. I just think it's funny that people (like us) continue to buy our kids expensive toys when all they really want is the simple things we already have around the house. They'll play with an empty big box for hours. Hiding in it, climbing it...you name it. I think it's great!

Siblings

Now that Kaden is crawling he and Kaelyn are able to do more together. I love sitting and watching them play. It's so neat as a parent. Kaelyn loves her little brother and really enjoys reading to him and helping him play with toys. I think once he starts walking they'll especially have fun. It's just neat to see that bond already forming. I hope with their close age that they'll be close for years and years.

Television for kids

Do your kids enjoy television shows like Dora and Word World? Ours do. Even Kaden is interested. Kaelyn loves them. We don't mind her watching them sometimes because their educational and wholesome. It's sad, but unfortunately there aren't a lot of shows like that anymore. She doesn't watch a lot of television though. It's more of a treat when she does which is how we'd like to keep it.
